Louisiana Center for Research and Education on Languages and Literacies (LA CREoLL)

Vision

The overarching goal of the Louisiana Center for Research and Education on Languages and Literacies (LA CREoLL) is to support, enhance, develop, and transform language and literacy education in Louisiana in order to support teachers, learners, families, and communities.

Mission

LA CREoLL brings together community members and scholars from various disciplines across the UL campus/system in order to forefront contemporary, research-based understandings of languages and literacies and the connections between them. The Center serves as a unique local, regional, and state resource for scholars/researchers, university faculty, preservice and classroom teachers/administrators, community members/stakeholders, and children and families. LA CREoLL also hosts a range of collaborative research projects, professional development opportunities, and outreach focused on languages and literacies.
