Center for Excellence in Education (CEE)

Mission

The Center for Excellence in Eduation (CEE) utilizes high-quality, interdisciplinary scholarship as a mechanism for positioning K-20 teaching and learning for unprecedented levels of academic attainment and astuteness.

Vision

The CEE Center will serve as an interdisciplinary hub for synergistic and collaborative endeavors related to the advancement of K-20 education across the region, state, and nation.

Core Values

The CEE Center initiatives will intersect three core values: access, diversity, and engagement.

Goals of the Center

1. The CEE Center will maintain an active interdisciplinary K-20 scholarship agenda.

a. Pursue opportunities for external funding including those offered by the U.S. Department of Education and the National Science Foundation.

b. Disseminate research and scholarship to broad and respected K-20 audiences.

c. Collaborate with faculty and practitioners across disciplines on projects closely aligned to CEE’s mission, vision, and core values.

2. The CEE Center will engage in outreach and develop partnerships that directly contribute to pipelines of budding college graduates across all disciplines including but not limited to STEM fields, teacher education, and educational leadership.

3. The CEE Center will implement a multi-faceted advocacy platform aimed at influencing local, state, and national K-20 policy and practice.
