What can I do with an education degree?

With an education degree from the UL Lafayette College of Education, you'll be prepared to be a teacher in any classroom in Louisiana. With that, you'll also have the educational foundation required to earn advanced degrees and work as an administrator in schools across the country.

Besides being a teacher, you could have a career as an instructional specialist, counselor, administrator, or librarian in the K-12 education setting, or as a faculty and staff member in the higher education setting.

Many of our graduates have also found career opportunities as trainers, managers, social workers, writers, software developers, curriculum designers, or researchers in a variety of business and industry, government, and non-profit organizations.
